closing doors
One should discern when a phase comes to an end. If we insist on claiming that we should stay longer than the allotted period, we lose the meaning and happiness of the other phases we have to go through. Concluding phases, ending chapters, closing doors – whatever we call it, what matters is to keep the lessons and let the hurts be healed in time.
What has passed will not return. Things pass and the best way we can do is to really let them go away. Just continue walking in the road of life – more careful and well-geared of the lessons of the past. No one of us can be in the past and present at the same time. Don’t even try to understand the things that happen to us, because you can’t, you’ll just end up asking same questions over and over again.
No matter how painful it may be, let go and start anew. In this life, sometimes we win and sometimes we lose (we gain some, we lose some). Detach yourself from all the depressing/negative feelings. Do not expect anything in return; do not expect your efforts to be appreciated; your brilliance to be discovered; and your love to be understood.
In any relationships – love or friendship; remember that there was a time that we should live without that person/s – nothing is irreplaceable; a habit is not a need. Closing doors -not because of pride, incapacity or selfishness, but simply because no matter how hard you hold on, it no longer fits your life. Shut the door, change the record, clean the house, and shake off the dust. Stop being who you were and start to change into who you are.
